House Updates

We finally started on our major back yard transformation.  I'm so excited I can't even stand it.
This is what the backyard looked like before they started.
Wyatt can't hardly stand all the excitement of having all the tractors and trucks and stuff in the backyard working.
This is him saying "cheese" as I take his picture.
We also just got some new furniture for the house finally delivered.  This is our new family room sectional.  It's huge and we had to rearrange the playroom toys and train tables a bit, but we got it all to finally fit (not in this photo) and we LOVE it up there.  Now we close down the main floor about 7 or 8p (or when we get home from the pool in the evenings) and spend the rest of the night upstairs.  The kids play while Jason and I watch TV and then we get them settled into their beds and enjoy the room ourselves.  We can all find our own space on this big guy!
 Starting the big dig.
 Wyatt loved it.
We then enjoyed watching the trees come down.
 And more digging.
This is how the yard looked by mid-day.

Here's where all the trees ended up.
The kids have been warned to stay out of the backyard as much as possible during all this but they do get out there a little bit when there is an adult out there as well.

By the end of the first day, this is what the yard looked like.  HUGE difference.
We also got some new entryway furniture.  A bit more grand than the tiny little table and small mirror we had before.
This fits the space much better!

I'll keep posting on the backyard as we got and update the boys too!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...

Summer is Lacrosse

This summer was especially busy for us as Jack played on TWO travel lacrosse teams and Wyatt played his first year on one. We only had one weekend where Jason and Wyatt headed off to Nashville, TN while Jack, Ethan and I stayed here for each of their tournaments.  This was Wyatt's oh-so-happy-to-get-his-photo-taken face before they headed out to Nashville. I just loved the shirt!!  This was the set up we had for Jack's tournament in town. Ethan was happy as a clam with shade and his iPad!!  Jack had a phenomenal first tournament and was directly responsible for almost all the teams goals. He looked awesome and he joked it was because his annoying youngest brother wasn't around. Boys!  Just a few shots of Jack playing.  Summer also means supporting our local professional field lacrosse team, The Atlanta Blaze. Jack and his buddy Zac had the privilege of working with the team's head coach through the local youth Thund...
