My Thankful Life, Part 3

Jack made Granny a Christmas present and wanted to see her open it, so we had Christmas a bit early!

Wyatt eating his own popsicle for the first time.
Cute ... before he made a huge mess!
For Thanksgiving dinner we drove out to Jason's Aunt and Uncle's house and had dinner with most of his family.  It was so nice to see everyone and catch up.  Here, Ethan is playing with Jason's cousin Jamie, while Jack plays with her son, who is only a few months younger.
The boys had so much fun together!
Jason's cousin Garrett gave the younger boys rides behind his four-wheeler.
 Let the fun begin!

The boys had so much fun together.  I'm happy that Jack had some cousins to play with.  It was a fantastic Thanksgiving and I know Jack made some memories that he won't soon forget.  I just wish we lived closer to family so that these kinds of days weren't so few and far between.
Ethan was right at home with everyone.  During dinner he went around the large table saying "hi" to everyone and giving them high-fives or kisses.

One last family photo before we headed home.  We had so much fun with Granny, Granny G and Grandpa Bill.  Can't wait to come back!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything. Today has just made me a little blue thinking about Ethan not being 100% of what other kids are and ...

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back. ...
