Photo Catch Up

Wow, has it really been over a month since I posted last??? I would love to say it's because we've been so busy doing lots of fun and exciting summer activities but I'm afraid we've just been living. We have done some fun things, including planting lots of flowers and veggies in our garden and making a Slot Car racetrack table but it seems like the summer just slipped away. Of course, we only had two months, which is long but not long enough. Now we are back-to-school shopping and getting ready for an August 3rd return to school. So here are some photos of the boys from the past month...

Wyatt followed Jack out to the car one day and figured out right away how to climb up into it! I can't keep my eyes of him for a second.

And he and Ethan are just the best of friends - always together, whether they are getting along or not, they are always side-by-side.

Jack spent a week at Vacation Bible School at his old preschool and this is him with our friends following their program at the end of the week.

Then we spent an afternoon at the Big Day Out for kids with special needs. It was so much fun! I love these photos.

I think Ethan in these glasses is my favorite photo of him! And here he is with a hammer to bang and he didn't want to do it. Yet at home we can't get him to stop banging stuff. Figures.....

They had everything....bouncy houses, basketball, skeeball and a baseball to hit. The boys were in heaven!

And then carnival games with prizes. Jason is so good about getting Ethan to do all this stuff. I'm so impatient.

Grandma Christy will appreciate this. Jack got a bucket of Army men and immediately brought them home and set up battles all over my kitchen and breakfast nook! He loves having battles all over the house with them. Pure boy.

I forget when this picture was taken but I remember Wyatt being so hot and tired that he fell asleep in his high chair eating dinner an we couldn't get him to wake up for anything!

And here are the boys celebrating Father's Day with Daddy.

Daddy got a firepit!

And finally, just some random photos of the boys.

Jack loves the puppy dogs (as does Wyatt) and Ethan loves his stuffed dog, Scout.

Jason had his final knee surgery to fix what we hoped was the problem with the constant pain in his foot and it looks to have been successful. Jason reports little to no pain and the pictures of the tendon showed that it was completely twisted around. So we're hopeful to be on the mend!

I hope to post more soon but for now I hope you enjoyed a little snippet of our summer vacation.

Cheers!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Master Closet Overhaul

We have this ridiculously large walk-in closet in our master bedroom and over time it has been overtaken with STUFF. So I decided I was tired of looking at the mess and it was time to clean it out and up.  Take a look...  I can't believe it went from this... To this!  I love walking in here now and actually find myself looking for reasons to go into my closet.  Along with just weeding out old clothes and items I no longer wore or needed (you should see the pile of stuff that was donated!) I made some changes to the room too.   One of them was my shoe racks. I've long wanted a tall shoe rack to go alongside the built in shelves but I knew it would never get off my husband's to-do list so I took matters into my own hands!!  It's not exactly what I had envisioned but it works and I'm happy with it. Thanks Target for the shelves.  Over the past few years I have developed a deep love for scarves and now own several....
We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Ethan and I made it to the base of the rock while Jason, Jack and Wyatt climbed up top.  Ethan and I messing around waiting on the other boys.  Photos of the boys up top.  Our first game was an evening game, so we had most of the day to explore and get used to the altitude (which definitely got to the boys once they got on the field). The fun part of having good friends on the same lacrosse team is you get to explore together. We all drove up to Red Rocks to expl...
