Seattle Trip, Part 1

I'm wondering when my posts will stop beginning with an apology for being so bad about posting on a regular basis. But as usual, life got in the way.

Jason had his knee surgery two weeks ago and is recovering well but he can't do anything so I've been taking care of all four of my boys....and I'm exhausted.

But Granny Annie is here for a visit so I've been getting some much needed help and a big break!

Anyway, here are some photos of our first few days in Seattle. The boys LOVED being at Nana and Granddad's house. Wyatt especially loved the car mat above and kept pulling it over himself!

We enjoyed some beautiful fall weather in Seattle and took the boys out and about a lot. Here we went to the Ballard Locks to watch the salmon climb up the fish ladder and watch some boats go through the locks from the lake to the Sound.

Ethan looks like such a big boy standing up looking at the fish!

We took a stroll along the water, enjoying the sun and fresh air.

Jack took this family photo!

Then we drove over and checked out the Freemont Troll!

Then we headed down to visit with Grandma Christy and Uncle Spencer!

The little boys both fell asleep by about 6:30p - trying to get used to the time change was tricky the first several days!!

We also spent some time with one of Jason's best friends - Wade, Tabbie and their kids; Gryphon is 5 and Mia is 8 months (I believe). The boys had a lot of fun playing with them.

Jason and Wade took the boys down to a park to see more salmon and feed the fish. They came home happy and soaking wet.

I think this is my all-time favorite photo of Ethan - it just makes my heart happy when I look at it!

The boys love their grandparent's! I hope to find more free time in the next few days to post more photos from our trip!

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town. I've been continuously changing up our great room bookshelves, so I thought I would post a photo for you to see. If anyone has more ideas on how to make it look better, let me know. These are some pictures of Jack at gymnastics. He has gotten so much better at this club. They do a lot more strengthening stuff than the old place. Plus they have an older boys class so they don't just teach girly stuff at this age. It's been fun to see him do so well. Of course, a lot of time he still goofs around, trying to fall off stuff, but for the most part he's pretty good at staying on task. Last week they did the monkey bars and he LOVED it and was...

Busy week

It's been a busy week with little things here and there, which is getting me ready for the busy summer ahead of us with gymnastics, swimming and all Ethan's therapies. Whew, I need a break from just thinking about it. We did have a nice walk down to our community playground this afternoon. Ethan couldn't stop laughing on the swings and the slide (he couldn't get enough of the slide) and Jack made a little friend! Great afternoon. Speaking of therapies, Ethan starts his occupational therapy next week and I'm so excited. We got the therapy notes back from his evaluation and, while I'm not positive on how I'm reading it, the scores say from poor to very poor. We have been very lucky that Ethan hasn't had any medical issues and so far he seems to be doing well with responding to his therapies, so I really want to make sure he has the best of everything. Today has just made me a little blue thinking about Ethan not being 100% of what other kids are and ...

Last Day in Prague

Our last full day in Prague. We had a late night parting the night before and a very early morning excursion but this was the one I was excited for! We did a similar excursion in Italy and loved it too. This was an awesome city bike tour to the Vysehrad Castle. We stopped for photo ops along the way - including here along the Charles River. But it's all fun and games until someone gets stopped by the Polizia! Before we left on our trip I was told to make sure you stay away from the police, so I was surprised to come up the big steep hill to see Jason stopped by one. I guess our tour guides didn't get the permit to ride in the park (too close to kids and a school). We had all just come up a big steep hill and were separated from the front of our group. Jason stopped to wait for me and the rest of the group to make sure we knew where to go. We had three guides, on leading, one in the middle who pulled away from Jason, and then one at the back. ...
