Louisville Box Lacrosse Tournament

Jack has his first box lacrosse tournament the first weekend of December in Louisville, KY. The same weekend Jason planned his kite-boarding trip to Costa Rica. So I packed up the boys and hit the road. I was a bit nervous about doing it all by myself, but it ended up being a pretty good weekend.  We drove up Friday since we had an early-ish game on Saturday. We walked into the location and I thought "this will be fun with an arcade in the lobby." And sure enough, this is where Ethan and Wyatt spent most of their time. Wyatt was constantly begging me for money, and Ethan kept getting toys given to him by other kids. At least they were occupied and I could enjoy the games.  At first we sat right in front of the glass to watch the first game.  But then I kept hearing cheering from above and realized that there was an upstairs.  With a better view. So I packed up our stuff and headed up. The other two spent the weekend basically on their own and ch

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

I always start my Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving and I'm usually done by the end of the weekend. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning out each room this year to get a good blank space. There was a lot of old toys and junk laying around and I've been going through a bit of purging phase lately. I'm ready to let go of useless junk.  I always seems to start in the family room, probably because we spend the most time in this room. It's my favorite thing.  Then it was on to the formal living room.  I've had to give up control of decorating for the holidays. I d

November Thankfuls

November started out with the elementary school's Veteran's Day program. It's always a favorite of mine! Each grade sings songs and a presentation is made.  Then the students of active duty and reserve service members pass out roses to the veterans at the event. This is Wyatt passing out his.  Then the next day was the 2nd grade Thanksgiving lunch (they celebrate it a week early, which I have no idea why).  I love how creative Wyatt's teacher is with her table decorations.  Of course, we had lots of lacrosse in between everything else.  I loved this view of all the kids sitting at the feet of the dads. Too cute!  Of course Ethan and Wyatt had fun playing with the other siblings, as usual. These kids have been playing together for several years and I love the bond they all have.  How beautiful is my new Thanksgiving table runner? It's meant to write on...  Following in his big brother's footsteps,
