Life Interupted

So I'd like to ask for a do-over for the month of April. I'm not even exaggerating when I tell you that as I sit here and type this on April 30th - the last day of the month - it's the first day of the entire month that no one in this family has been sick.  It started right before our Spring Break when Wyatt got sick and then everyone else followed suit. However, Ethan never got better. After several trips to the doctor and several afternoons spent like the picture above, we made one last trip to figure out what was going on. But let me step back a bit. The Tuesday after Spring Break both Jack and Wyatt complained of their ears hurting - Jack to the point of tears. So off we went to the doctor. Ethan came along just to be sure he was okay since I was taking the others anyway. Turns out he was the sickest of all. They each had ear infections in their left ears but Ethan also had a sinus infection. So home we went with medicine. Unfortunately, by Friday Ethan was

Birthday Boys

April is always a fun, crazy month, bookmarked by birthdays for Jason and Wyatt.   Wyatt made Daddy some Army pictures for his birthday.  The birthday man and his boys!  Time for a gift.  Some special underwear for kite boarding.  Next up for birthday's was Wyatt. I love that I have the opportunity to come into his class and spend some time with him on his special day.  But for Wyatt it's always about the gifts. First up is Jack's present.  Angry Bird Legos.  Then Ethan's gift...  A couple Transformers.  The the big kahuna from Mom & Dad.  Look at that smile.  What is it? A humongous Jurassic World Lego set - Indominus Rex!

Spring Break - Colonial Williamsburg, Arlington, DC and Maryland

Our last few days were spent basically all over the place. We checked out of GWL and into a timeshare condo my parents have after making a VERY cold trip out to Virginia Beach. Jason wanted to kite board out there but once we arrive he decided it was TOO windy for his kite. We hung out there for a bit just to make sure the winds wouldn't die down soon and then headed out. My mom spent a few years in Norfolk as a child when my grandfather was stationed there in the Navy. It was fun to come out of the tunnel into Norfolk and see the big Navy Destroyers docked at the Naval Station and just imagine them living there. We didn't have a chance to drive through Norfolk at all but since I didn't know much about where they lived it would have been more fun to have my mom there as a tour guide.  Then we spent some time walking through Colonial Williamsburg. It was a bit rough as it was super cold (maybe 45 degrees) and Ethan wasn't feeling well and didn't want to
