Jack had his first lacrosse game this morning (in the rain - it felt like Seattle) and even though we got creamed (12 to 1) the boys did fairly well, especially towards the end, for playing against a team that was older and had been playing longer. We have mostly younger, newer players. Jack went into the game with a great "we're going to win" attitude and even though they didn't he was smiling from ear to ear at the end because he had so much fun. He played both defender and attacker. While he still has a lot to work on he did a great job of staying on his man as a defender (needs to work on keeping his eye on both the man and the ball) and he got the ball a couple times as an attacker. He actually made a goal once but because in this level we have a rule of the ball needing to be passed twice before you can make a goal, it didn't count (he thought the passing on the other side of the midfield counted).
