Fun Weekend




It's only Tuesday night and I'm already exhausted!

Ethan turned 6 months on Friday and to celebrate, we have been going non-stop ever since. Weekends seem to be spent out and about these days. After going into Atlanta on Saturday for a day of shopping, we headed out to a park on Sunday for some swimming, fishing and a nice picnic lunch.

Jack had a blast swimming in the lake with Daddy, while Ethan slept and I read a magazine. Then after drying off and having lunch, he managed to catch himself a little fish! Daddy didn't have much luck, though.

Well, Jason's off traveling and the boys are sleeping, so I'm going to head to bed myself. Then get back up and do it all over again tomorrow.

I love this outing, so I hope these pictures stay up for a while. Jack, this is real swimming! Not the pool, but the lake. I also recognize the favorite fishing hole/picnic spot - just around the bend from the swimming area. This must be 'the spot' since it produced a marvelouse little fish. Jack, did you stell Nana it was a Blue Gill?

Having a Great Visit with Aunt Delly

I know it's been a VERY long time since I've last posted, but it's hard when you have company in town. Plus, I've been especially exhausted this past week. Jack get's so excited when we have visitors that he gets even crazier than normal! September should be fun when we have Daddy, Granny and Grandma in town.  We have traveled around the SE for lacrosse tournaments in the past but this year we had the opportunity to travel to Denver, CO for one. I think it was one of my favorite. We tried to make it a family vacation as well, so we traveled in early the day before and spent some time exploring.  We headed down to Rock Park in Castle Rock and did a little hiking.  See that big rock in the background? Yup, the boys climbed all the way to the top. Beach Days

I have impressed myself by getting these pictures posted early today by taking advantage of Ethan's nap and then Jack playing with him! Just a quick note to update everyone, today we met with Jack's preschool teacher and saw his classroom. He's very excited to start school, which I JUST now realized is NEXT Tuesday, not the Tuesday after Labor Day. Wow, it will be so strange to have him gone 3 hours, 3 days a week. But Ethan will love the one on one time and I have volunteered to be a class mom for a couple of their class parties. These are photos of our day trip to Wrightsville Beach just outside of Wilmington, NC. I really loved this area and the boys had a great time playing in the sand and water.
