Did Someone Say Presents?

Wyatt had seen this Ogre toy at Target for months and months and always stopped to play with it so when we found it on clearance we decided to pick it up as a birthday present.  Well, once he got it it took awhile to warm up to it.  Basically he had to have Daddy play with it with him first!  Then it was okay.  Hulk SMASH!!!  Then Nana and Granddad got the matching castle to go with it. Boy was he one happy little boy!

Wyatt's Birthday Party

Wyatt had his Angry Bird's birthday party on Sunday with all his friends.  Opening his cards from his grandparent's -- they both sent the same card!!  Ryder from next door, who celebrated his 2nd birthday just a few days before Wyatt.  Attempting to go in the jumpy castle in the rain.  Ryker, Gwyn's brother, has become good friends with Wyatt, and Ethan and Gwyn are best friends!!  Makenna was loving the toys.  Makenna and Gywn playing.  Time for cake.  Will (Makenna's brother) is another good friend of Wyatt's.  Cheese face.  The rare picture of mommy!! Time to open presents!!!

Wyatt's 3rd Birthday

Making the most of a raining Saturday by finally getting around to uploading Wyatt's birthday weekend photos. It ended up being a rainy weekend (especially on the day of Wyatt's birthday party) but we had the bouncy for the whole weekend and Friday was a nice sunny day so the kids got to make the most of it!  Both Wyatt and Ethan had a blast jumping.  We gave Wyatt his birthday present the day before his party, on his actual birthday.  His very own motorized truck!  He wanted NOTHING to do with it at first, so Jack and Ethan enjoyed it while Wyatt warmed up.  Jack finally got Wyatt in for a ride.  Looks like he's enjoying it now.  Solo ride - wide open spaces!! Watch out - here I come.

Playing In The Dirt

Ever since we had the additional steps put in, Jason and I have been planting like crazy, trying to get our backyard full of color and to help hold the hillside together when it rains!! Jack used to be my big helper but he seems to have passed the torch to his younger brother.  Wyatt loves to be outside and "help" us.  Of course, I'm sure that will change, too, when he gets a bit older and has lots of friends to play with.  These photos are not in any order (not sure why they download so randomly but it's a pain to drag and move them, as they don't always go where I want them too). At the bottom of the terrace, between the two new sets of steps, we put in a boarder of day lilies and a little blue plant that has the same sort of leaf.  I can't wait for it to get bigger and fuller over the years!!  This is our row of tulips from earlier this spring.  We have a few more coming up still but most are dying off.  It was a beautiful b...
