New Year

I love this picture of Jack and Wyatt sitting up at the counter, as this is always how I imagined the boys sitting and doing homework or eating.  Jack got a tablet for Christmas so he's sitting up there playing on his while Wyatt, trying to be just like Jack, is sitting up there using the family tablet.  Our Christmas turkey wishbone!  Jack, as the oldest, got to choose who he wanted to pull on it with him.  No surprise that he chose Wyatt.  Wyatt got the bigger piece and Jack was not happy.  Wyatt certainly can amuse himself while his brothers are at school.  We got the Star Wars Operation game last year and Jack brought it out over the holidays and Wyatt has been obsessed ever since.  He gets up at the table and pulls the pieces out - you just have to make sure he puts the pieces back.  This kid cracks me up!  I looked over to find him one morning sitting in the ottoman box playing with the tablet. ...

Christmas Cookies

Making cut-out sugar cookies is always a highlight to my Christmas season.  I've always made them since I was little and now I love sharing this with my boys.  Everyone got in the action with the cutting out of the cookies the first day.  Jack helped too but he was running up and down to/from the basement so I was unable to get a photo of him.  The next day, after our visit to see Santa, we made the icing and decorated them.  Wyatt enjoyed cleaning, I mean licking, the beaters.  All ready with the sprinkles to decorate.  I iced and then handed off to the boys to decorate.  Can you see Jack's red face?  Poor baby was so sick over the holiday.  Ethan wasn't feeling all the good either and sat up with us for awhile but didn't want anything to do with the decorating.  Jack has always enjoyed decorating so it wouldn't have mattered how sick he was!  Wyatt had a policy of decorate a cookie...

School Christmas Parties

Jason, Wyatt and I were able to enjoy both Ethan and Jack's class Christmas parties.  Ethan's class decorated gingerbread cookies and even Wyatt got to make one!  This is Ethan's classroom and all his friends.  Gwyn is the only girl in the class and she is a friend of our outside of school as well.  Whenever Ethan sees her he always greets her with a big smile and a "Gwyn!!!"  This is really good OT for him and he did a great job.  A little help from Daddy!  He didn't like getting frosting on his fingers but then I put it to his mouth and he liked it a little better.  Wyatt really enjoyed being a part of the activities.  After the cookie decorating the kids had a book exchange.  It was so much fun to see Ethan in class and how he interacts with his classmates and listens to his teacher.  There's always room for improvement but he really does well at school and I know he loves it t...

Boys At Play

I have a lot of catching up to do...I had hoped to get more done over the holiday's but there was at least one sick person in this house our entire vacation!  Now I've got to spend some time posting.  I'll start with showing you how Wyatt entertains himself while his brothers are at school.  Just like Jack he LOVES to be outside and is pretty good about playing on his own, although he loves it when the other kids are out there or a dog!!  And just like Jack, he loves playing with construction trucks - building, dumping, scooping...  But he's also got an active imagination inside.  He is all boy and loves cars and trucks and things that go vroom!  He was quite proud of his long train of cars lined up and made sure I took lots of pictures of them.  We started our Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving this year so the boys could fully enjoy everything.  Jingle James, our Elf on the Shelf, got himself into lots of...
