Living in Georgia

Wyatt just had his two month check-up and I thought it would be fun to compare all three boys, since Jack and Wyatt were almost identical for their two month check-up stats! And boy, don't they look alike. I can't get over looking at the baby pictures of them both. Ethan shares the same nose and mouth, but the blond hair and short stature throws the rest of it off.... Two Months: Jack : 15 pounds 4 oz. / 24.5 inches Ethan : 13 pounds 12 oz. / 22 inches Wyatt : 15 pounds / 24.5 inches I swear you can't tell Jack and Wyatt apart in these pictures if you didn't know who was who. They are all so cute and lovable -- even though Ethan has hit the terrible two stage. Oh, and Ethan has started taking a few independent steps! He will walk along the furniture toward me and then let go and the end and walk two or three steps as he falls into my arms. We're so excited that he's finally getting the confidence to walk on his own. Watch out world, here he comes!

We had such a nice weekend with Jason home to celebrate the 4th of July. It was hard to see him go, especially for Jack, who for the second time cried after Daddy left. But the good news is that we seem to be on track for Jason to get transferred into the home based community unit on the 25th of July!! That means he should be home for the rest of his recovery time -- and who knows how long that could take as he still needs to have his knee surgery. He will have to in-process down in Tampa, FL for a week so the boys and I are thinking of joining him. We could all use some time on the beach, as long as it's not covered in oil!! Now we're just trying to get into a routine with it being just me and the boys. So far, it seems to be going well and I'm actually able to get a lot of stuff done. We had a great 4th of July party and celebrated with friends and neighbors all night long! We started around 3pm with a BBQ and ended the firework display around 10:30p. We were exhausted by the end of it but had so much fun. Ethan made it until about 9:45a and Jack didn't get to bed until about 11:30p. Tonight it's dinner, then bath then bed! We started off with lots of daytime colorful smoke bombs, parachutes and other fun stuff for the kids and then we moved on to the bigger ones. The street behind us kept us entertained with big fireworks of their own and a live band. It was great to have music to enjoy as well. The weather was perfect - mid 80s, low humidity and even a light breeze! While some of Ethan's DS friends had a hard time with the loudness of the fireworks, he could have cared less. He really enjoyed them much more this year than last. We finally got a family picture! Jason was smart this year and made all the kids pick up the mess from the fireworks bet...

Well, I survived my first full day without Jason, who left yesterday (Sunday) morning. And amazingly, I was more productive with him gone than with him here. How does that happen??? I was able to clean almost the whole house, plus get baby clothes organized and bigger sizes out for Wyatt. I still need to organize Ethan and Jack but it's a big start! Aren't these the cutest pictures of Wyatt? I love that little smile. I can't believe he's already two months old! Time is just flying by and before I know it they will be heading off to college.... I'm keeping myself even busier by starting up a new business. I'm just a little crazy for doing this now with the boys so young but I've decided to become a Southern Living at Home consultant.
