Jack's First Day of Preschool

Today was Jack's first day of preschool. He was so excited and had a great day! Ethan and I walked him into his classroom, saw his cubby hole and then said our good-bye's. I'm proud of myself that I didn't cry (I cry at everything these days!!) and even more proud that Jack didn't. He looked unsure for about a minute but then said "I love you Mommy," and was good. He had such a great time at school that he's been asking me all day today why he can't go back tomorrow. I keep telling him he only goes Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's but that's not good enough. I guess once he starts kindergarten he'll finally be happy. Last week Jack and Ethan spent a lot of time playing together in the hallway while Jack did some artwork. They had the best time and stayed occupied for quite a long time. On Sunday, my cousin Robyn and her son Alex came out for a quick visit on their way from Alabama to the airport. We spent a couple hours with them ...

Final Photos from North Carolina Trip

I've finally got all my North Carolina photos posted. Now we can get back into a regular routine. But of course, this week brings the start of preschool for Jack and the arrival of Granny and Daddy, so it will be a busy week, to say the least! But an exciting one. This photo is of Jack playing some computer game that Jason found for him. He loved it and asked every night if he could play it. Luckily, since we've been home, he hasn't asked. The boys spent a lot of time playing together, whether it was on the bed or wrestling on the floor. You can see how much these boys love each other and enjoy the others company. It makes me so happy to see them interact together. These are some photos of downtown Fayetteville, NC. Our last day there we spent at the Children's Museum and they had a blast. It was pretty small, but Jack DID NOT want to leave! We took some time to drive around Ft. Bragg to get some photos. Mostly Jack by the tanks that he was always looking for, ...

Beach Days

I have impressed myself by getting these pictures posted early today by taking advantage of Ethan's nap and then Jack playing with him! Just a quick note to update everyone, today we met with Jack's preschool teacher and saw his classroom. He's very excited to start school, which I JUST now realized is NEXT Tuesday, not the Tuesday after Labor Day. Wow, it will be so strange to have him gone 3 hours, 3 days a week. But Ethan will love the one on one time and I have volunteered to be a class mom for a couple of their class parties. These are photos of our day trip to Wrightsville Beach just outside of Wilmington, NC. I really loved this area and the boys had a great time playing in the sand and water. It was about 100 degrees that day. I love these photos of Jack and Ethan together. You can see how much these boys love each other. I'm going to have to get these framed! Ethan was having a great time pulling up on Daddy and then looking around to see what he was d...
